It is a well known fact that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was supposed to be the heroine of Shah Rukh Khan in his two superhit movies 'Chalte Chalte' and 'Veer Zaara'. The roles were eventually done by Rani and Preity respectively. But there is one other Miss World actress who has been most benefited by doing the roles turned down by Miss World Aishwarya Rai. Yes you guessed it right, its none other than Priyanka Chopra. PeeCee replaced Aish in the following movies:


1.) Bluffmaster: Abhishek and Aishwarya were the lead actors in the first movie of director Rohan Sippy - 'Kuch Naa Kaho'. Movie was not a hit but the director wanted the same pair in his next flick 'Bluffmaster'. After Aishwarya turned down the role, Priyanka came in and the movie became a runaway hit at the box office.

2.) Waqt: Vipul Shah had a dream to work with Aishwarya Rai and approached her for the lead role in his directorial movies - Waqt and Namastey London. Once Aishwarya left them, Priyanka was approached for Waqt and the movie was a success at the ticket window. Namastey London went to Katrina Kaif and became a success too. Finally Vipul worked with Aishwarya in Action Replayy but the movie was a commercial failure.

3.) Krrish: The magnetic pairing of Aishwarya and Hrithik was supposed to start from Krrish but Aishwarya  did not find the role too powerful. Priyanka became a part of the franchise and the movie was the 2nd biggest hit of 2006. Co-incidentally the biggest hit of 2006 was Dhoom 2 starring Hrithik opposite Aishwarya Rai.

4.) Dostana: Karan Johar wanted Aishwarya to play the female lead opposite Abhishek and John in Dostana. Aishwarya opted out and Priyanka stepped in this role. Movie was one of the biggest musical hits of 2008.
