It was 15th March, 1993 when a princess was born to director, producer, screenwriter and  filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. Today Mahesh Bhatt’s apple of the eye, daughter Alia Bhatt, has grown a year older and has touched the mark of 20.

Her bollywood family includes her father Mahesh Bhatt who is successful director, producer and screenwriter and her mother, Soni Razdan, is an actress. Actress has lovely sister Shaheen Bhatt, a half sister Pooja Bhatt, and a half brother Rahul Bhatt. Actor Emraan Hashmi and director Mohit Suri are her cousins and producer Mukesh Bhatt is her uncle.

Just out of school, she made her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’ along with two more newcomers Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. previously there was rumour about her link-ups with his debut co-actor Varun Dhawan. But now the news has faded it's colours.

Pretty young girl stepped into bollywood with ‘Disco’ dance in Student Of The Year and  we can see the touch of  of 'POoo' in the charater  and now the graph of young actress is going high as the time passes by. Currently the Kitty is shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s Highway opposite Randeep Hooda and the filmy adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s ‘2 States’ opposite Arjun Kapoor simultaneously. Going to flasback she was seen in Sangharsh, as a child artist, where she had played the role of younger Priety Zinta.

Alia, who is currently shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s Highway, celebrated her 20th birthday on the sets with Randeep Hooda and the cast and crew of the film.
