1.) Aitraaz: An Abbas-Mustan thriller Aitraaz featured Priyanka Chopra in a negative role along with Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor. Ms Chopra gave an excellent performance and went on to win the Filmfare Best Villain Award. The film is said to be based on the 1994 Hollywood movie Disclosure.

2.) Fashion: This is arguably the best performance of her career as a leading lady in a positive role. Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, the film stars Priyanka Chopra, Kangna Ranaut, Mugdha Godse and Arjan Bajwa. The movie is based on the dark side of the world of fashion. Priyanka won a National Award and a Filmfare Award in the best actress category.

3.) Barfi!:Directed by Anurag Basu, Barfi starred Ranbir Kapoor , Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz. Priyanka essayed the role of an autistic girl who falls in love with a deaf and mute boy, played by Ranbir Kapoor. The film has made an entry to the Oscars and Priyanka's act was appreciated by one and all.

4.) 7 Khoon Maaf: 7 Khoon Maaf is a black hard hitting drama film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead role of Susanna. The film is based on Ruskin Bond's short story Susanna's Seven Husbands, and features several male leads in the roles of the husbands. Priyanka essayed a very matured performance in this film.

5.) Kaminey:A 2009 thriller film directed by Vishal Bharadwaj headlining Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles. She essayed the role of a feisty Marathi girl named Sweety. The film was a critical and commercial success.
