Kamal Haasan who has now decided to release his Vishwaroopam first in theatres has filed a complaint with the Competition Commission of India against some of the theatre associations for allegedly restricting the release of his film. Rajkamal Films International, Kamal’s production company has moved the fair trade regulator. A CCI official has acknowledged that they have received a complaint from Kamal.
It has to be recalled that earlier Ajay Devgn has lodged a complaint with the Competition Commission of India regarding the release of his Son of Sardar against Yash Raj Films. But the complaint was turned down by the CCI saying that there was no violation of the competition law.
